As of today, March 18th 2020, due to the spread of the Coronavirus, we at Advertise Purple have decided to offer free affiliate management to all companies offering child education services through the end of the 2020 school year.
Why specifically child education? Well, with schools seemingly closing down for the foreseeable future, itโs more important than ever to not only give these children who are now stuck at home with their parents something to do. But itโs doubly important not to stunt their educational growth during this crazy time.
Weโre talking about filling a void that only schooling – online or otherwise – can. In the formative years of any child, each day is an opportunity to develop their brain and learn new things. Because of this, these days away from school impact children more than anyone else.
Of course, naturally, the burden falls on the parents, and our hearts go out to them too. Not to mention those in the educational field, children and parents who relied on schools as a form of daycare and in some cases food, etc.ย
I canโt even imagine the many different ways that families are being affected, and I know that weโre all struggling right now. Thereโs a lot thatโs missing from all of our lives right now due to the fact that weโre all stuck at home, to be sure.
That being said, what we see at Advertise Purple is an important opportunity to utilize our expertise in a kind of โpro bonoโ way that could affect thousands and thousands of kids.
Our President Kyle Mitnick has young children of his own, and so this hit home for him in a way it might not for all of us who have now found ourselves sequestered in our homes. Imagine the same scenario but with bored kids and seemingly no end in sight.
Hereโs what Kyle had to say about leveraging our platform to help educational brands reach more customers: “It’s what is right, and the least we can do. We have our marketing tentacles in, some form or another, almost every American household, and using those channels to distribute critical messages, like education, is what we need during a time of crisis.”
On a personal note, I can attest to the fact that great education as well as learning discipline and hard work from people other than your parents can change your life. I ended up at Stanford University after being given the opportunity to learn from amazing teachers at every level of my life.
I also was lucky enough to have parents who gave me the opportunity to work with SAT tutors who put me in a position to succeed and score highly on what Iโd probably call the most important test of my life.
Of course, itโs okay to be scared and confused right now. Especially if you are a young child. However, letโs take this time as a great opportunity to put our heads down and get some work done. Whether thatโs education, a new skill or something completely unexpectedโฆ none of us know what weโre doing right now. So letโs make the most of it.
As for the offering, it includes the companies we already work with, of course. Now they will no longer be charged for our services through the rest of the 2020 school year. But it also extends to any online education platform or service that we donโt yet work with. Shoot us a note!
